Building Modeller | Energy Engineer
Role:Created 3D Model. Assigned low U-value building fabric elements,Sizing & iterative simulation of different HVAC system.Simulated based off Dublin89 Weather database
Results:VAV system emerged most energy efficient HVAC system. 255pw PV contributed 28% annual electricity demand. Building met Part L
Tools: IES VE, AutoCAD, Revit
Role:Created 3D Model. Assigned low U-value building fabric elements, lighting and ASHP (COP=3.5).Benchmarked TGD-030 ensured atleast 8 l/s/pupil, < 1000ppm CO2 & Dry bulb temp. not exceeding 25oC for > 5% of the year. Simulated based off Dublin89 Weather database
Results:Building met Part L Regs with EPC=0.5, CPC=0.64, RER=0.44, Final BER=A2.Range Test: Dry bulb temp.exceeding 25oC= 23 to 45 hours, CO2 never exceeded 1000ppm
Tools: IES VE, AutoCAD
Role:Sketched floor plans. Collected on-site data including building fabric, heating systems, insulation levels and ventilation. Entered data accurately into DEAP to calculate energy performance ratings.Provided tailored advice to clients including improved U-value building fabric retrofit, PV solar energy generation, heat pump installation and improved heating controls.
Results:BER = C2 improved to B2
Tools: DEAP4
